Homemade Tortilla Chips Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 10 small corn tortillas (or flour tortillas)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or cooking spray)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional spices: cumin, chili powder, or paprika for flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the tortillas:

    • Stack the tortillas and cut them into 6 triangles (like cutting a pizza).
  3. Oil and season:

    • Place the tortilla triangles on a baking sheet in a single layer.
    • Lightly brush or spray both sides of the tortillas with olive oil and sprinkle with salt (and any additional spices if you like).
  4. Bake:

    • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the chips are golden brown and crispy. Flip halfway through for even baking.
    • Keep an eye on them as they can burn quickly!
  5. Cool and serve:

    • Let the chips cool for a few minutes. They’ll continue to crisp up as they cool.
    • Serve with your freshly made guacamole.

Tips:

  • Lime zest or extra lime juice can give the chips or guacamole an extra kick of citrus flavor.
  • You can fry the tortilla chips in hot oil for a crispier texture if you prefer, but baking is a healthier option.

Enjoy your fresh guacamole with warm, crispy tortilla chips!
